The Real World of Shipping

Surprises

The High Cube

Lashing & Securing

The Importance of Being Involved

• the increase in maximum gross mass of 20 and 30 ft. containers to 30,480 kg;

• upgrading of the stacking test from a superimposed load of 192,000 kg to 213,360 kg ( stacking force increased from 3392 kN to 3767 kN)

• increased the floor test vehicle mass to 7260 kg from 5460 kg;

Tank Containers

Refrigerated Containers

VTLs – Vertical Tandem Lifting

Vertically coupled & bundled flats

Stacking Capabilities of 45’ Containers

Door End Security

How much damage is too much?

CSC approved but structurally deficient

22G1 – an ISO 20’ x 8’6” high by 8’ wide general purpose container meeting allcurrent ISO specifications. If this was a CSC approved container with reduced racking or stacking strength the Size & Type Code would be 22GA.
