The Higher Education System:

✓ it is divided into two subsystems: university education and polytechnic education✓ tuition fees at public universities and polytechnics are low, and moderate at private

other✓ it is also easy to transfer from a Portuguese university to another university in Europe and

To have a qualification which allows the access to the HigherEducation system (diploma or certificate issued by thecompetent services which testifies its approval at anEducation Programme, allowing the candidate to apply to theHigher Education system in the elected country)OrApplicants who possess a Secondary school diploma or anyother legally equivalent.

Higher Education institutions and citylife

✓Lisboa and Porto are big cities where it is more difficult for students tolive nearby the university/institute. Prices for lodging and food tend tobe higher than in other cities.

✓Coimbra, Aveiro, Braga, Faro, Bragança, Portalegre, … are small sizecities with a quiet and not expensive way of life. It is easier to find aplace to live nearby the University/Institute.

O número de vagas de entrada no Semestre I do curso preparatório é ocorrespondente, no seu limite máximo, ao triplo das vagas totais a disponibilizaranualmente pela Universidade do Porto.3. Para efeitos de colocação e frequência do Semestre II, o IPOR tornarápública a lista dos candidatos aprovados, ordenada por classificação descendente,tendo em conta a classificação mínima de acesso a cada curso.

Inscrição definitiva: de 20 de maio a 20 de junho

Documentos necessários:a) Declaração de conclusão do ensino secundário (em julho/ agosto é preciso entregar a declaração final da escola com a aprovação, inclusão da classificação final da disciplina ou disciplinas específicas necessárias ao ingresso no ciclo de estudos escolhido);b) certificado de aprovação, com inclusão da classificação final, do ExameUnificado de Acesso ao Ensino Superior em vigor na RAEM;c) pagamento da propina do Semestre I (a propina será devolvida caso o candidatonão seja selecionado)

O Semestre I termina com um exame final de língua portuguesa. Passampara o Semestre II os alunos que obtiverem melhor média de classificaçãogeral e aprovação no exame de língua portuguesa.

SEMESTRE II: DE MARÇO A JULHO DE 2020

Local: Universidade do Porto, PortugalCarga horária: 300 horasPropina: MOP 9500

Áreas temáticas:• Língua Portuguesa• Comunicação oral e conversação em língua portuguesa• Visitas culturais e visitas a unidades de investigação• Frequência opcional de disciplinas curriculares

Após conclusão, com aproveitamento, do Semestre II, os alunos terão entrada direta nos programas de licenciatura ou mestrado integrado escolhidos.
