AREA – Joseph Sodano ofMorristown, whistling/voice student ofProfessor Nataliya Kolmykova at theCalderone School of Music, whistledas a contestant for the “Morristown’sGot Talent” event on March 3, at theMayo Community Theatre.

He performed the “Cancan” song byJacque Offenbach. Only 16 contestantswere selected to participate out of 80who auditioned. He won second placein the competition.

Mr. Sodano has also appeared whis-tling “God Bless America” on “TheTonight Show With Jay Leno,” Bizet’s“Habanera,” from Carmen, “AmazingGrace” and “Take Me Out to TheBallgame,” for the Colonial ItalianAmerican Organization ofWilliamsburg, Va., as well as for theItalian American Charity Organization.
