U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

More than 55% of recent immigrants use the library each week Libraries provide support for English language

learning and access to government information USCIS is working to develop more online

services that could be delivered at the library

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)

Signed a Memorandum of Understanding in August 2013 with CFPB

Developing financial education tools and programming that provide unbiased financial education materials to library patrons.

Observing and facilitating connections between library networks and the Financial Literacy and Education Commission and its members.

Department of Labor

The U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration (ETA) and IMLS are working together to highlight effective practices and encourage additional collaboration between the workforce investment system and public libraries

ETA officially encouraged its state and local workforce investment boards, state workforce agencies, and One-Stop Career Centers to partner with public libraries to extend their career and employment services to job seekers and unemployed workers
