ELECTRICIANS INSTALLING SOLAR HOT WATER SYSTEMS

THE BSA POSITION

The BSA

• WILL - Amend the ACT allowing electricians to contract for the installation of solar water heaters.

• States – that licensing should not be a barrier to red tap reduction or an artificial barrier to competition.

• States – that the changes will not impact on the plumbers equality in contracting.

• States – They cannot guarantee licence creep by electricians
