What is a Paper?
a paper is an academic work that is usually published in an academic
journal or an academic conference. It contains original research results
or reviews existing results. Such a paper, also called an article, will only
be considered valid if it undergoes a process of peer review by one or
more referees (who are academics in the same field) who check that
the content of the paper is suitable for publication in the journal.

When You Choose a Paper to Read
Read the title of a paper.
If it is interesting, read abstract.
(+ If it is also interesting, read introduction.)
You can roughly understand author’s work.
Then, decide whether you read the paper or not.

Read Survey Papers First
There are two types of papers: survey papers and research papers.
Survey papers give an overview of the research field and introduces
representative papers. It is very helpful to start with reading survey
papers if you are not familiar with a research field.

Introduction
Introduce a problem/problems you want to resolve.
For problem definition, you need to give brief introduction of
research field to readers.
Example Flow
This topic is really interesting!
Look at this. Let me explain how fantastic it is.
But there is an important issue that has to be addressed.

Related Work
Previous related works in your research field. If some researches
are strongly related to your idea, you should mention them in this
section for the better understanding of readers.
Example Flow
Of course, researchers have proposed solutions to address
the problem.
Their ideas are like this, but it is not sufficient because of
several reasons.

Our Scheme
Here you should explain your concrete schemes in detail with brief and
clear words.
It is a good approach to provide general overview before explaining
your concrete scheme for better understanding of readers.
Example Flow
So, I propose this awesome idea.
Simply, my idea is to do something in some ways.
Listen, let me explain my idea in detail.

22
Evaluation
In this section you must prove the validity of your idea objectively,
logically, and mathematically.
Example Flow
Look at this, my idea really works!
My idea is 30% faster than other approaches!
What a brilliant idea!

Conclusion
Conclude your paper with brief summary.
Future work can also be included here.
Example Flow

it is better than other approaches!
Thanks.
