Transcript of A picture is worth a thousand words

“While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see”

-Dorothea Lange

Photo journalism opens our eyes to the world…

But sometimes, our freedom of photography is restricted by government rules and regulations.

The extremely strict rules of the American media is

UNETHICAL

Americans are living in a sheltered society. The

restrictions of photojournalism are not only unethical because

they restricts freedom of expression, but they are

unethical because they hides things from society that

everyone has a right to know about.

The scenes that can be captured by

photojournalism are so MOVING and

inspirational because of their shock value.

When this is taken away, people are not truly

aware of how much evil and hurt there is in the

world.

We have the power to fight these unethical regulations. Through social media and word of

mouth we can SPEAK OUT against unfair restrictions on photojournalism.

One once said, “a picture

is worth a thousand

words”…. Let us listen to

what these pictures have

to say and accept our call

to action in order to make

a real difference in the

world.
