A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Grow! 1 Peter 2:1-2

Spiritual growth is needed to mature. 1

Corinthians 14:20

It supplies the necessary “nutrients” for

life and growth. Matthew 4:4

Strong desire for God’s Word is needed

so one will make the effort to get it in

them. Matthew 5:6

God does expect us grow and mature!

1 Corinthians 3:1-4

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Study the Bible (God’s inspired word)

Study is necessary to help us gain

knowledge. 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17

This Knowledge is necessary for life.

2 Peter1:2-4; John 6:63

It is required to help us and others to get and

stay saved. 1 Timothy 4:13, 16

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Be Faithful to Christ! Rev. 2:10

Faithfulness involves keeping Christ’s

commands. Matthew 28:18, 20

Shows our love… John 14:15

Shows obedience… John 15:14

Shows faith… James 2:18, 20

Shows the right example’s… Phil. 4:9

Unfaithfulness leads to hell. 2 Thes. 1:7-9

Rejects Jesus words. John 12:48

Is opposite of what should be shown.

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Grow in Grace and Knowledge!

2 Peter 3:18

Grace is “favor”

Must grow in our favor towards Him.

Col. 3:16

And seek His favor towards us. 2 Cor. 5:9

Knowledge here signifies understanding.

We must gain this understanding which he

provides through the inspired word.

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Add the Christian Graces! 2 Pet. 1:5-11

Must add to your faith:

Virtue… moral excellence, purity

Knowledge… understanding

Self-Control… self-governance

Patience… cheerful endurance

Godliness… God-likeness see Rom. 8:29

Brotherly kindness… love to Christians

Love… “Agape” seeks the goodwill of others

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Worship in spirit & in Truth! Jn. 4:24

In “Spirit” is the proper disposition/attitude of

heart which is…

Willingly not grudgingly!

Some will… Jn. 7:17; Rev. 22:17

Some will not… Jn. 5:40

In Truth is according to God’s word.

Jn. 17:17

God’s word is truth!

LIVE FOR JESUS EVERYDAY!

Start by being saved today:

To be saved you must

Hear and Believe the gospel!

Rom. 10:17; Heb. 11:6

Repent of your sins! Acts 2:38

Confess your faith in Jesus! Acts 8:37

Be baptized to wash away your sins in

Jesus blood! Acts 22:16; Rev. 1:5

Wear the Whole Armor of God! Eph.

So you may be able to do all to stand against

the wiles of the devil. vv. 11, 13

Belt of Truth… v.14

Breastplate of Righteousness… v.14

Shoes of Peace… v.15

Shield of Faith… v.16

Helmet of Salvation… v.17

Sword of the Spirit… v.17

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Fight the Good Fight of Faith

1 Timothy 6:12

We are to wage the good warfare by

fighting in this spiritual war.

2 Tim. 2:3-4

Our weapons are from God.

They are not carnal… 2 Cor. 10:3-6

Spiritual sword… Eph. 6:17; Mt. 4

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Love the Brethren! 1 Peter 1:22

Sincere -means unfeigned, undisguised

Pure -means clean, unstained, genuine

Fervently –means earnestly, intensely

These are some ways our love should

be for our Christian brethren.

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Overcome Evil with Good!

Romans 12:21

No matter what, remember, “Do Good”!

Especially in the face of evil… Mt. 5:43-48

Jesus went about doing good.

Acts 10:38

In everything we do. Eph. 6:6-7

Even if you can’t see how it will overcome evil, do good anyway!

LIVE FOR JESUS EVERYDAY!

Jesus said, in Luke 9:23, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

--Are you doing this?

If not, repent and come to Him now!

Become a Christian today…

Hear and Believe the gospel!

Keep Unspotted from the World! James 1:27

We’re in the world but not of the world. John 17:14-16

We must not love the sinful worldly things 1 Jn. 2:15-17

Contact without contamination.

2 Pet. 1:4; 2:18-22

Warning don’t be polluted again with the sinful ways of the world. 2 Cor. 6:17-7:1

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Set a Good Example! Mt. 5:16

Be that living Epistle… 2 Cor. 3:2-3

Show the world how a Christian should

live!

Be those good shining lights in the world.

Phil. 2:15

Reflecting the brightness of Christ’s love!

2 Cor. 3:17-18

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Help to Bear the Burdens of Others!

Gal. 6:1-2, 10

Visit the needy in their affliction. James 1:27

Whoever they are… Mt. 25:31-46

Stranger

Sick

In Prison

Naked

Widow

Orphan

Enemy, etc. … Rom. 12:20-21; Mt. 5:44

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Seek God First! Matthew 6:33

God is to get first place… Mark 12:30

Should be no one higher than Him in

your life. Matthew 10:37

Includes seeking His kingdom, which is

His body, and His righteousness…

If you don’t love His body, you don’t love

Him. Luke 10:16

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Teach Others! Mark 16:15

The Gospel of Christ… Romans 1:16-17

By example… 2 Cor. 3:2-3

By word… Acts 2:40

By other teaching methods.

Bible, tracts, dvd’s, etc.

Paul also used his parchments (charts). 2

Tim. 4:13

A CHRISTIAN SHOULD…

Attend Services Faithfully! Hebrews10:23-25

To keep His commands…

To hold fast our confession w/out wavering.

To rightly consider one another…

To stir up love and good works…

In order not to forsake our assembling (plural) together.

To exhort (encourage and strengthen) one another

To Prepare for Judgment

LET’S OBEY JESUS AND LOOK

TO HEAVEN!

We need to always set our minds on

things above! Colossians 3:1-2

Come to Jesus and be saved!

Hearing the truth. Rom. 10:17; Jn. 17:17

Believe in the truth. Rom. 10:9

Repent of your sins. Acts 3:19

Confess Jesus. Rom. 10:10

Be Baptized into Christ. Rom. 6:3-6
