Case 2RE-ATTACHMENT

• A 9 year old boy came to OPD of Pedodontics and

Preventive Dentistry, with chief

complaint of fractured 21.

• H/O present illness revealed that the fracture was due to trauma with cricket bat, 15 hours earlier.

• No pain, only hypersensitivity was present.

On intraoral clinical examination , pulpal

exposure of 21 was seen.

IOPAR shows pulpal exposure &

open apex of 21

Fractured part of 21

Treatment plan:

• MTA pulpotomy of 21

• Followed by re-attachment of fractured part of 21.

Isolation done with Optra dam

Access cavity prepared, coronal pulp removed. MTA was placed over

radicular pulp, followed by GIC.

Re-attachment of fractured part done with flowable light cure composite.
