GETTING STARTED
What is 99%SME B2B Marketplace? 99%SME B2B Marketplace extends the support that is provided to SMEs via the 99%SME movement
(business to consumer transactions), by linking businesses to a ready community of corporate buyers
(business to business transactions).
Whether we realise it or not, SMEs play a critical role in this country and the livelihoods of many in
Singapore depend on them. Making up 99% of businesses in Singapore, SMEs employ 70% of
Singapore’s workforce and contribute to nearly half of our GDP. With an additional platform to
showcase their products and services, SMEs can now market and scale their business in the B2B space.

Registering your company is relatively quick and simple. Ensure you have the following information on hand to streamline your registration process:
1) Company Logo - Formats Accepted (.jpg/jpeg/png not exceeding 10mb in file size) 2) Company Registration Number
Note: Registering using this form creates both the individual account (admin) and the company account. There is no need to create another individual account for administrator privileges.
Note: Please fill up the form as accurately as possible to achieve best results!
Creating Employee Accounts (Individual)

Individual Employees may register for their accounts at the above URL. Employee accounts may either (1) join their company or (2) be added by their company’s administrator into the company.
(1) Joining your Company

Employees may search for and join their company using the above URL. Requests to join are subject to the company administrator’s approval. Employee accounts that have successfully joined a company will receive updates regarding RFQs and RFEs for their respective company and may initiate buying/selling.
(2) Linking Employees to Your Company

Company administrators may add employees into their company account. This can be done by
hitting the add member button on the top left.
A pop-up will require you to input your employee’s email address that was used to register with our
marketplace.
Employees will receive a notification to accept/reject the invitation to join the company.
Upon joining a company, employee accounts will receive updates regarding RFQs and RFEs for their
respective company and may initiate buying/selling.

The company profile page allows users to add more information for prospective buyers/sellers when
browsing listings/RFQs made by your company.
Compulsory Fields include:
1) Company UEN Number
2) Company Certificate - Formats Accepted (.jpg/jpeg/pdf/png not exceeding 10mb in file size)
Fields that are great to have, but not obligatory:
1) Terms & Conditions - Formats Accepted (.jpg/jpeg/pdf/png not exceeding 10mb in file size)
2) Non-Disclosure Agreement - Formats Accepted (.jpg/jpeg/pdf/png not exceeding 10mb in
file size) *Note: T&Cs as well as NDAs will be displayed on all products listed by your company, if these are not
uploaded, both buyers/sellers will adhere to 99%SME B2B Marketplace’s T&Cs and NDA.

Adding your credit card details into our payment system helps to expedite the process of purchasing
when checking out.
We are running Mastercard Payment Gateway which is PCI Compliant.

It is crucial to ensure that your bank details are correct. Incorrect information may result in loss of

Selection of Logistics Method

By default, the logistics method for your company will be set to DHL. In the event that you desire to
use your own method of logistics, on the top right, click the button “Create Custom +”.
A pop-up will appear to facilitate the creation of your custom delivery mode. All fields within this
pop-up are compulsory.
A brief description of the fields:
1) Name - Name of the Delivery Service
2) Rate Type - How the Delivery Fees will be Calculated
3) Rate - Prices for Delivery Fees
4) *Note: For Rate Type, there are 3 choices.
1) Fixed Rate - Standard Rate Regardless of Qty or Size
2) Fixed Rate Per Item - Rate will be Multiplied by Qty Purchased

Company Overview

The company overview page may be used to check the statistics of your company. Information such
as Total RFQs, Total RFEs, Total Enquiries, Total Sales as well as Total Spending.
Pre-Approval Form (SMEs Only)

SMEs may wish to get pre-approved by SourceSage to facilitate the process when tendering for RFQs

There are a multitude of ways to purchase on our marketplace. From submitting your quotes to
searching as well as browsing, our marketplace platform has it all at your fingertips.
Direct Purchases using Search

Searching has never been easier. Using our search engine as pictured above, key in your desired
search product and watch the magic. Products will appear indexed as pictured below.
Direct Purchases via Browsing Departments/Categories

Browsing categories has never been easier. Listings have been sorted and indexed into their
respective departments and categories. Pictured below is an example of browsing via
departments/categories. Users may also use the filters located on the left for a better browsing
experience.
After deciding to which product to purchase, click on either the product or the name to view details
about the product selected.
Initiating a Purchase via Browsing or Searching

Located on this page are:
1) Acceptable Selling Price - The price at which supplier has indicated to be acceptable for sales
2) Quantity - Users should adjust this to the amount they wish to purchase
3) View Supported Delivery Methods - Logistics methods supported by this supplier
4) Acceptable Payment Modes - Payment methods accepted by this supplier
5) Add to Cart - Add this product to your shopping cart and continue browsing
6) Direct Buy - Purchase this product immediately
7) Place a bid/offer - Request a discount by contacting or counter-offering the supplier
Should the user wish to Purchase the product, there are 3 options for the user to select from.
The add to cart button adds the selected product to the
shopping cart to allow continued browsing.
The Direct Buy button takes the user straight to the checkout
page for the selected product.
The Place a bid/offer button allows the user to attempt a
negotiation with the supplier.

In the event that nothing catches your eye while browsing, 99SME B2B marketplace has a RFQ
(Request for Quote) feature where users may fill up a form, inviting suppliers to quote for the
specified item.

In order to add new listings to the marketplace, users may click the “Add Product” button which
leads to the “New Product” form. The fields on this form have to be filled for the listing to be
onboarded onto our platform.
Bulk Uploading via CSV file

Users may also wish to use the bulk upload feature instead of the single “Add Product” if they have a
large assortment of products to upload. The above form contains headers which users need to fill
with their product details in order for the listings to be onboarded.

1) Question: Can a buyer purchase on credit terms?
Ans: Yes, depending on credit rating and limit on each of the buyer. Platform will
assess but still pay supplier according to supplier’s payment term.
2) Question: What is the value for my existing customers?
Ans: By inviting your buyers to pay through the platform, suppliers will be able to
receive payments securely and recurring in advance without a need to remember or
track payments.
3) Question: How can I trust the buyers?

where we rate and review every company registered.
4) Question: I have my own sales inventory or accounting systems (e.g. Tradegecko),
how can I update my inventory on your platform?
Ans: Depending on your needs, we may consider to integrate your software into our

5) Question: How can you integrate our T&Cs for buyers?
Ans: Yes, we can upload your template into the company settings page such that
each products you uploaded will have these T&Cs
6) Question: I already have my own customer network, why do I need this platform?
