Run with friends

WHO? JOGGERS OR RUNNER

WHAT? HELP WHEN PEOPLE RUN

WHEN? WHEN THEY RUN/JOG

WHERE? ANYWHERE OUTSIDE

WHY? THEY WANT TO EXCERCISE

This app is targeted at runners who want quick and easy access without any complicated procedures. The good thing is that this app has an easy learning curve and is able to operate on most smart devices.

Why We Chose this app

Many apps on the Play Store are just made for running, but we aim to create a running app that takes advantage of the devices features, whilst remaining simple and easy to use

Other Running Apps

How can we create a running app that

encourages and makes running exciting?

By embedding our app with a points system , it would encourage the user to want to run and beat his friends points.

Key insight statement

We want an app that is intuitive and challenges you to run, and an app that helps you socialize whilst running. Our app aims to be simple, yet having a lot of side features that help runners.

Mini Elevator Pitch

My team, Run With Friends United, is developing an android app to help the general public over the age

of 16+. Our aim is to decrease the increasing obesity rates. Our app has the ability to challenge friends in

other areas or countries at different times.

We want to intergrade the mp3 player in the phone to play automatically whilst you runAlso we want to relay info from the phone to a smart watch if the person owns one, and with the growing market of watches, this could work well.We will also use the GPS system to track friends and compete with them.

What are we intending to use?

Do you run regularly?

Do you think you would run more regularly if you had a running app?

Many running apps

Our app is one of the few or even the only app that enables you to challenge friends

who are abroad or in another area at different times. We also want to take

advantage of the growing form factor of smart watches.

Why our app is better than the rest

Magnus’ (one of our team mates) dad likes to run

every day and he agrees that this would help him a lot.

Our app aims to work on all platforms and all generations of smartphone. To operate our app, it will need the basics of a internet signal (connecting to friends), an accelerometer.

More sensors can help the app run more smoothly, like GPS, a heart rate monitor (GS5, GG2, GF) and other features

exclusive to some platforms.

feasibility

Who Would Buy Our App

2 of our teachers have been interviewed by us and want to use our app. The interviews say that they both want to stay fit

whilst staying connected to the technology and the outer world.

Marketing Strategy

We aim to break open the market of the smart watch form factor. We aim to intergrade the

features found in the latest smartphones as well as the old sensors from the earliest of smartphones.

Wildcard

We got the chance to show our work to some experts who couldn’t say anything bad about our

work.
