MISSION & VISION
UNITED PRINT MEDIA GROUP is a progressive organization of print media and publication companies in the Philippines. Its thrust is towards promoting the continuous development and pursuit of excellence of the Philippine print media industry. UPMG is one of the sectoral members of the Advertising Board of the Philippines (Adboard) and the Advertising Standards Council (ASC).
UPMG is a formidable professional organization, it is composed of companies publishing major dailies, broadsheets, magazines and tabloids circulated in the Phlippines and overseas. UPMG was founded in

ABOUT THE TINTA AWARDS
The United Print Media Group (UPMG) spearheaded the Tinta Awards in 2008 and it is now on its fourth run of celebrating creative excellence in print advertising. Tinta Awards - encourages creativity in print advertising including its digital formats and raise the profile of print media in the Philippines. With the emergence of the digital news platform, this year, we also encourage entries from the publication’s websites and online products.
Through the Tinta Awards, the United Print Media Group (UPMG) offers advertising agencies, media agencies, advertisers and publications the opportunity to be recognized and awarded for their best work in the print media.

July 27, 2001, from a merger of the defunct PRIMO (Print Media Organization) and PRADO (Print Advertising Organization), resulting in one “Unified” group. UPMG also works vigorously towards the standardization of print media policies and regulations as well as it values and ethical practices. It now boasts of more than 33 active member-publications with over 120 titles.
With the collaborative efforts of all its members, shunning its own individual corporate interest, UPMG promotes creativity, innovation and quality in the works of its members and the industry as a whole to keep it vibrant, relevant and competitive. It also keeps the bar of ethical standards and practices high while upholding the principles of enjoying freedom and independence of the press while doing so with a moral sense of responsibility.
While carrying out its traditional roles of informing, educating and entertaining the public and participates in social development and nation building, UPMG is steadfast in safeguarding as well the interest of Philippine print media and the audience it serves.

The Tinta Awards is open to all Philippine-based advertising agencies, media agencies, advertisers, publications, digital agencies and schools for the Student category.
All entries must be designed for publication in newspapers or magazines or its online edition.
All entries must have been published or displayed for the first time between January 2013 to June 20, 2014.
Ad placements in international publications are accepted but the entry must have run in the Philippines to qualify into the competition.
The Tinta Awards Student Category is open to all college students. Each entry must be endorsed by a university dean or an accredited school representative.
All entries must be accompanied by an entry form, entered in the correct format as specified in the entry guideline, and the entry fee payment to ensure acceptance into the competition.
The organizers may refuse entries that offend national or religious sentiments or public taste.

Print Ad/Print Campaign/Craft/Technical EntriesOne (1) mounted printed proof of each print ad entry. Size is 60cm x 40 cm (A2) and must be mounted on a black illustration board with a copy of the Entry Form and proof of payment attached to the back of the board.
Each entry must be accompanied by a CD containing the digital file on the entry in jpeg, 300 dpi format. Please label the CD with name of entrant and name of campaign.
Online/Integrated/interactive EntriesNo agency branding must be visible on the entry.
Each entry case study must be laid out and printed on a proof using the size of 60cm x 40 cm (A2) and must be mounted on a black illustration with a copy of the Entry Form and proof of payment attached to the back of the board.
If there is a video presentation please accompany the entry with a CD containing the video.
If it links to a website, indicate the URL on the Entry Form.
Entry demo presentation videos must be no longer than 3 minutes. It should be clearly demonstrated how the readers was able to interact with the medium.
Video entries must be sent in mpeg or quicktime format saved on a CD.

A jury composed of leading ad agency creatives, media and digital experts will form the prestigious jury of the 4th Tinta Awards.
A Gold, Silver and Bronze Tinta Award will be given in each category.
Shortlisted entries will receive a finalist certificate.
A Grand Prix may be awarded in each main category not including the student categories.
A Tinta Awards Agency Of The Year will be awarded. This recognition is given to the agency that obtains the highest score for entries into the competition.
