day’s work is 1/90. but A’s speed changes
and instead of 1/30, we have have 1/3 added
to it thus we have 1/30+1/3*1/30 or
1/30+1/90 = 4/90 and in the case of B
1/90+1/2*1/90 or 1/90+1/180 = 3/180 or 1/60.
Add these we have 4/90+1/60 = (8+3)/180 or 180/11 = 16.36 = they will complete the work
in 16.36 days.

Solution: . . . . We have a chessboard, where we start putting white
pawns first. White pawns are used to form a squareby putting white in white place and there after blackones are used to outline this square. if we have asquare of 2*2, there will be 2 spaces for white pawns.Similarly, if there is square of 3*3, we may haverequirement of 5 white pawns. In this case we willhave requirement of 8 black pawns, which doesn’tfulfill our requirements. Similarly try for 4*4 and 5*5,
6*6 squares. We get the answer in 5*5 square, and wehave 13 white and 12 black pawns (which fulfills our requirements) thus we require 25 pawns. Answer.
