Balik Eskwela (Back to School) Project (Part 2)

A joint project of BETANS and Class 2HO, Australian International School, Singapore

During the Unit of Inquiry – “Where We Are In Places And Time”, Betans Balik Eskwelahan (Back To School) project was presented to the 2HO class. The class together with Mrs. Howarth wasted no time and thought of how to further helped out Grade One students at Sico Elementary School, Philippines.

So at the Musical Extravaganza last 2 September 2011, 2HO performed to the parents for a cause aimed to buy school supplies for Grade One students at Sico Elementary School. Parents donated S$252 (PhP8,416.80) and some books as well.

In the donation of 2HO we were able to purchased 60 envelopes with 2 pad papers, 2 pencils, sharpener, eraser, crayon (single) and plastic envelopes.

Also, 10 boxes of white chalks, 4 boxes of coloured chalks, 200 packets of snacks and 100 packets hygiene supplies (soap and toothpaste)
