I. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
1. Site for construction of substation- 220kV Dung Quat substation is intended to construct on rice-field land
nearby the existing 110kV Dung Quat substation, belonging to planed land of Dung
Quat Industrial Zone under Binh Thuan Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai
Province with total area of 26,676m2. The geographical situation is as follows:
- North adjacent to land area for planted rice
- South adjacent to existing 110kV Dung Quat substation
- East adjacent to land area for planted rice
- West adjacent to interdistrict road
- The topography of substation location is rather flat and inundated in wet
season, so it's necessary to embank the ground of substation by foundation base of
the existing 110kV Dung Quat substation.
- The substation site is located in rightwards 9 f existing 110kV Dung Quat
substation, distance of 400m from the highway of Dung Quat Industrial Park in the
south. The 22kV power network (from 110kV Dung Quat substation) situated in the
expected area for construction of substation, so it's very convenient for power
supply serving construction work if the project is carried out.
2. Project characteristics* Voltage level: 220/110kV.
* lnstalled capacity: 02 transformers x 125MVA, 01 transformer will be
installed in first phase.
* Feeders:
- 220kVside: 04 feeders (Main: 02, Spare:02)
- 11OkVside: 09 feeders (Main: 06, Spare: 01)
* Single line scheme
-220kV side: Apply the scheme "Double busb ar system with transfer bus,
bus-section circuit breaker in combination with bus coupling breaker".
-110kV side: Apply the scheme "Double bus, ar system with transfer bus,
. bus-section circuit breaker in combination with bus coupling breaker".
FS on 220kV Dung Quat substation -4 -
* Communication system:
- 220kV side: Optical communication system is used for data exchange to
SCADA/EMS system between 220kV Dung Quat substation with 500kV Doc Soi
substation and Central Load Dispatch Centre.
- OkkV side: Optical communication system is used for new line routes;
Power Line Carrier (PLC) is used for two 110kV feeders of Doc Soi - Dung Quat
110kV single circuit line to re-establish PLC communication system on this line.
* Construction solutions
- 220kV, 110kV switchgears and control & pr?tection system at feeder level
shall be outdoor. -
- The control system at substation level; Supervising Dispatching Center;
SCADA/EMS system will be indoor.
* Acquisition land area: 26,676m2.
Whereas:
- Land area for substation (including embankment slope): 25,90Gm2.
- Land area for shifting house (including embarnkment slope): 776.Om2.
