HIS LIFESUBODH GUPTA was born in 1964 in Bihar in India, and now he lives in New Delhi, where he moved on completing his art and theater studies.

He studied at the College of Art, Patna from 1983 to 1988, before moving to New Delhi where he

currently lives and works. Trained as a painter, he went on to experiment with a variety of media. His work encompasses sculpture, installation, painting,

photography, performance and video.

Spooning

Produced in 2009 

The work consists of two stainless steel spoons over 2.5 meters long. They are resting on the floor like a couple of lovers.

Our opinions

We think this work is beautiful. The spoons are enormous.  

It made us feel hungry because we use spoons when we have lunch or dinner.

In our opinion the work represents a couple of lovers.

Sudodh Gupta wants to comunicate his love because the spoons are one next to the other.
