On behalf of myself and the Board of Directors I would like to thank you for participating in the Laguna Woods Men’s Golf Club. The LWMGC Club provides its members with opportunities for pleasure, recreation and social relationships and your participation and enthusiasm makes this possible. Our Club only supports one charity and that is The Foundation of Laguna Woods Village and your contributions through the club help support those in our community who are in need. Through this support and our active involvement in the Village we are proud to take a leadership role in representing the golfing community in Laguna Woods Village.

The Tiger Woods Foundation was established in 1996 by Tiger Woods and his father, Earl Woods, to create and support community-based programs that improve the health, education and welfare of all children in America. Currently the foundation has established several programs and events such as the Tiger Woods Learning Center, the Hero World Challenge, the Deutsche Bank Championship, the Quicken Loans National, Tiger Jam and the Tiger Woods Invitational which all benefit and impact the lives of millions of children. The Hero World Challenge was formerly know as the Chevron World Challenge, and Tiger, who hosts this PGA Tour cosponsored tournament, has won the event 5 times and has always donated his winnings.

The Laguna Woods Men’s Golf Club, the Ladies Golf Club and the Laguna Woods Foundation are avid supporters of the Tiger Woods Foundation. Over the years, we have collected more than 6,000 golf clubs, hundreds of golf bags and used golf balls for this foundation. Donation site is at the Cart Barn at the Village Greens or call Don Fleming at 949-206-9588.

The Laguna Woods Men’s Golf Club salutes the Tiger Woods Foundation for the continued great work they have done for our nations children.
