TAKE THE WORN-OUT WOMAN QUIZ – Do you run out of energy well before the day is done?
Do you worry so much, it distracts you from your goals? You may be a worn-out woman. Come to a
study led by a self-proclaimed worn-out woman. Get more information in the parlor Sept. 26 (6-6:30pm).
A PAIR AND A SPARE COLLECTION ENDS – Our Saviour is serving as a collection site for new
socks, underwear, long underwear and bras for children and adults. The collection box is near the 2nd
floor coatroom just past the elevator. Please help us collect items which are rarely donated but are very
much needed by those less fortunate. Donations will be collected until Wednesday, September26.
CAN YOU ADOPT-A-BILL? – If you can, please ‘Adopt a Bill’. Select an invoice and envelope from
the board, make your check payable to OSLC, put it and the invoice in the envelope and place in the
offering plate or drop off at the office. So far, you have donated $3,552.30 (this amount is NOT included
in the Unified Budget information provided in the bulletin every week).
SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY – Please watch the Announcement Sheet, weekly calendar information and
The Voice regarding the Sunday morning adult Bible study group. Days will vary between ‘The Truth
Project’, Adult Confirmation classes and ‘regular’ Bible study.
DON’T THROW IT AWAY! – We are collecting used cell phones, empty pill bottles, aluminum cans,
beads, and mfr’s coupons as well as batting and knitting/sewing materials, Box Tops for Education,
Labels for Education, Capri Sun pouches, specially marked milk caps, and Coke codes. We also collect
non-perishable food for Manna for Life (please no bread, potatoes, etc.). For info, call 468-4065.
SUNDAY SCRIP – Every purchase is a small donation. Buy Sunday mornings at the Welcome Center
or the church office (from 8am-11:45am and 1pm-4:15pm Monday thru Friday). Groceries? Gas? Going
out to eat? Gift giving? Taking a trip? Give to church without changing your budget. To learn more, stop
by the Welcome Center today or come to the office during regular business hours. If you have a child at
Green Bay Trinity, OSL Preschool or in the youth group, ask about our ‘tuition reimbursement’ program.
LAMBEAU FIELD AND PACKER GAMES – Our Saviour needs 21 volunteers (18 or older) to work
each home Packer game this season; the next home game is on Sunday, September 30 at 3:15pm.
Volunteers must attend a training session before working (next date: September 25 6-10pm). Please
contact Neil Burmeister at 866-9088 or call the church office (468-4065) for more info. Our booth is
indoors (Section 427 club seats). Sign-up sheets are at the Welcome Center; sign up now for any game.
PASS IT ON! – As you clean out the kids’ closets for the change of seasons, or decide to empty all the
extra toys, books, etc. from their rooms, please consider donating them to Our Saviour. Although our
“Kids Only Sale” doesn’t take place until May, donations are always accepted. Please drop donations off
Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, or in the Nursery on Sunday mornings. We accept almost anything
baby and kid related, as well as maternity clothing (please NO expired car seats or drop-side cribs). If
you have questions, please contact Maggie Hinz at 920-265-6432 or laughterandblessings@gmail.com.
PORTALS OF PRAYER – The new October-December issue of the Portals of Prayer is now available
in the Narthex. A limited supply of the large print version can be found in the office.
LWML SUNDAY – We will celebrate LWML Sunday on October 7, 2012.
SCORE! - GB Trinity was able to purchase two scoreboards for the gym at Our Saviour at a very
reduced price. Some funds were borrowed from the athletic account and we will be holding fundraisers
to pay for them as well as the cost to install them. Donations can be sent to Green Bay Trinity
Scoreboard Fund, 120 S. Henry Street, Green Bay, WI 54302.
DON’T COOK BEFORE THE GAME! – As a way to pay for our new scoreboards, Green Bay Trinity
is hosting a "Night out at Pizza Ranch" on September 24 from 4-8 pm. Our Volleyball girls will be
bussing tables that night and Pizza Ranch is donating 10% of the night's profits back to us, plus
Northeast Thrivent is providing matching funds (up to $1,450). Pizza Ranch is a Christian organization,
and it's a great place to eat!!! Come out for some pizza (so you don't have to cook) and then you can head
home to watch the Packer game (without having to do dishes)! Hope to see YOU there!
