Education:

94% of children and youth report to be enrolled in school.

At the time of graduation, 86% of youth, are still studying or have finished high school.

97% of youth received educational support.

89% of youth rated the education support program as good or excellent.

69% reported having more schooling due to the programs offered by CI.

A youth is 77% more likely to complete high school by participating a lot in CI youth programs as compared to those that never participate.

Youth who participate a lot in CI’s programs are one-and-a-half times more likely to attend a 4 year university and twice more likely to attend a 1-4 year college or technical course as compared to those who never participate.

Youth are 45% more likely to attend a 4 year university by participating even only sometimes in our programs, and 89% more likely to go to a 1-4 year college or technical training course.

Job-Skills:

78% of graduates rated CI’s job skills training program as good or excellent.

95% of graduated youth state they graduate from CI’s youth programs with at least 1 job skill.

Based on youth survey data, 89% of youth agree that CI’s programs have helped them become healthier, more educated, more motivated to reach their goals, or given them a better opportunity of getting a job, thus increasing their likelihood of having a better future.

Health:

85% of youth rate health education as good or excellent.

Over 2,037 youth were trained in peer-to-peer health education in 2010 making 139,740 peer community contacts.

In 2010, the number of peer educators who could identify at least 2 ways of preventing the sexual transmission of HIV nearly doubled.

Leadership:

84% of graduating youth rate leadership training as good or excellent.

87% of graduating youth state they have more ability—either in leadership, goal setting, problem solving, ability to support themselves economically, or in staying healthy or mentally positive than youth not supported by CI.

By participating a lot in CI programs, youth are 76% more likely to have more confidence in their leadership skills than those who never participate.

Even of the youth who participated rarely in our activities, 60% reported to have more ability in reaching their goals than non-sponsored youth.

74% of the youth who participated a lot reported that they have more ability than non-sponsored youth to stay positive about themselves.

71% of youth that participate a lot believe they have more ability to reach their goals than youth not supported by CI.
