NINE WEEKS AVERAGE IS CALCULATED: MAJOR GRADES (Tests / Projects) 60% MINOR GRADES (Quizzes) 40%

5. THE POWER OF “I”

Students who fail a major assessment will have the opportunity to remediate and retest within a two-week time frame in order to achieve (or attempt to achieve) a minimum passing grade.

9. SENIOR EXAM EXEMPTION POLICY

It is a Senior privilege to exempt exams and ONLY A SENIOR PRIVILEGE. This applies to semester exam only. Seniors may only exempt based on the following qualifications:

Final yearly average of an A (90) or above in a course; No behavioral referrals that result in O.S.S.; No behavioral referrals that result in a second offense ISS. (If a Senior receives a referral resulting in a

second offense ISS or any OSS, he/she must take all exams regardless of grades.) All underclassmen (grades 9-11) will take comprehensive exams in every class at the end of the first and second semesters. 10. APP USAGE IN CLASS

SEE ATTACHED iPAD SHEET 11. BATHROOM POLICY

You will have four (4) bathroom passes per nine weeks in a digital format. Each nine weeks you will be given a new set of passes in your Showbie account. Use your passes wisely; you will not receive extra passes once your four (4) are gone until the next nine weeks begins. To use a pass, use the QR code reader to scan the QR code on the “Bathroom Pass” sign at the front of the room. Take one of the proper passes (guy or gal) and quickly/quietly take care of your business. If no physical passes are available on the wall, wait till a classmate returns a pass and follow the procedure above. You may still be allowed to use the restroom after your four passes are gone, however, you will be required to serve make-up class time for Mrs. King. If you do not have your passes available on your iPad, you will be required to serve make-up time to use the restroom. Even with a pass, Mrs. King will determine when it is a good time to be out of class to go to the restroom.

12. ABSENTEE POLICY All students are responsible for getting and making up all missed assignments, notes, worksheets, ect. Any missing work will be recorded on Showbie and in PowerSchool. All missed work MUST be MADE UP!
