Epic Inpatient Workflow for Peds Sleep Study #1. Ped patient’s attending places the consult order, Consult to Pediatric Sleep Medicine (CON200169)

#2. Dr. Patwari sees patients and places the order, “Pediatric Sleep Study” (SLM000001); Dr. Patwari may have already placed the order from outpatient.

#3. Sleep study technicians (Henry and Laura) review the sleep study order and click on “Set to In Process” in the report “Peds Sleep Medicine SnapShot” under Patient Summary. This step ensures the order is not discontinued.

#4. Sleep technicians (Henry and Laura) provide care and document sleep study log in Flowsheets. They can also create a note in Notes Activity

#5. Sleep technicians (Henry and Laura) file a charge, Attended sleep study EAP 7741045 – CPT 95807, by typing “sleep attend” in Charge Entry Activity.

#6. Dr. Patwari reviews the sleep log and writes a procedure note by linking the order.

7. Dr’s Procedure Note is linked to the order.

#8. Dr. Patwari files a charge in “Charging Navigator” under “Professional Charges - Procedures”
