TheTomMinerCreekRoadCapitalImprovementsProjectislocatedapproxi-mately40milesSouthwestofLivingston,MontanainParadiseValley.Thepro-jectworkconsistsofremovalandreplacementofthetwodeterioratingshortspanconcretebridgesoverTomMinerCreekandRockCreek.TheexistingbridgeswillbereplacedwithlongerandwiderGRS-IBSbridges,riprapprotec-tion,andguardrail.TheprojectwillalsoincludesomerehabilitationworkontheCarbellaTrussBridgeconsistingofreplacingtheexistingbridgedeckandrepairingsomeofthetrussmembers.

Yieldsignsareinplacedforatemporarytraf icdetouroveratem-porarybridgeatRockCreek.Speedsarelimitedto10milesperhourthroughthetraf icdetourandoverthetemporarybridge.

ThecoldweatherconcreteprotectionenclosurewascompletedattheRockCreekBridgesiteearlythisweek.Withtheprotectionenclosureinplace,theUltraHighPer-formanceConcretewasplacedinthebridgebeamkeywaysthisweekandworkwasabletoprogressontherebarandformworkfortheconcretebridgerails.AttheTomMinerSitethetemporarytraf icdetourwasremovedandriprapalongthewestsideofthebridgewasabletoprogress.CarbellaBridgewasabletobereopenedthisweekafteraninspectionofthebridgeidenti iednonewdamagetothestructurefromlastweeksoverloading.Thebridgeisopentopublicuseonceagain.TherewillbenoworknextweekastheContractoristakingabreakovertheThanks-givingHoliday.Thefollowingweekworkwillresumewith inishingtheformworkatRockCreek,pouringtheconcreterails,and inalizingriprapatTomMiner.
