Quality requirements are growingSafe future, quality-oriented andproductive – the key essentials of modernagriculture.
It is not enough to just produce agriculturaltechnology, we have to meet the require-ments of today's farmers. That is a challenge demanding a will to experimentand the ability to think freely. Thinking thesame way as you.
Quality green forage is the basis for highmilk yield and meat production. The way inwhich technology is implemented is a deciding factor in bringing in a successfulharvest. While developing our latest generation of tedders we have been aimingfor high productivity and excellent working
quality. The objective is to harvest the highest quality forage in the shortest possible time at minimum cost.
To achieve this objective, we have kitted ourtedders out with new tine mountings, jock-ey wheels and shock absorber struts. Goahead and compare – the difference is clear.
That is why we invite you to join Pöttinger –and work together towards a successfulfuture!

High quality standards of manufacture guarantee a long
service life. The Pöttinger tedder range is packed with
modern precision engineering. Globular iron castings,
solid steel components, heavy duty rotary joints and top
quality paintwork speak for themselves. Distinctive
colours and modern design make our tedders look
good too.
You can be sure that Pöttinger implements command a
high resale value. Look for the details – we would like to
help you in reaching a decision.
Heavy duty tinesLosing tines during tedding is not just annoying, it also puts animals and following harvesting machinery at risk. The heavy duty tine with a long service life
The newly developed "Heavy Duty" tine ensures reliability. The curved shapeof the mounting supports the tine, making it more effective and harder wearing. Benefits: the tines are much more durable and need to be replacedless often. The tine security system is integrated into the holder. The unequal lengths of the tines make a significant contribution to improvingthe spreading quality and extending the service life. In addition, this is veryimportant in ensuring clean forage.

Details with Smart Engineering
Rigid frame tube
Welds seams can beweak points. The frametubes (tube dimensions2.76 x 0.28’ / 70 x 7 mm)on HIT tedders are weld-free and pressed ontocastings for a permanent fit.
Tine arms made of
flat bar
Solid bars ensure thatfittings remain inplace more securely.
Large flotation tyres
6-PR flotation tyresensure smooth runningand protect the sward, even over bumpy ground. All wheels arefitted with anti-wrapguards as standard.
Support disc
Each rotor features anadditional support plateto increase the stabilityof the tine arm mount-ings. This ensures thearms cannot twist, evenin a really heavy crop.
High quality paintwork
Powder-coated paint-work has proven flexi -bility and durability inthe field. Surfaces canbe retouched withoutthe paint flaking away –true automotive quality.Pöttinger brings yousmart-looking designsand distinctive colours.
Heavy duty frame
hinges with replaceablebushes.
New safety guard
brackets
The robustness of themachines is furtherenhanced by new, clamped and reinforcedsafety guard brackets.Pöttinger’s high standard of workman -ship is also extremelyimportant in the tedders.

HIT – Tedder
4WD transmission Professionals look for positive power transmission and heavyduty design. This driveline features smart-engineered detailsthat put the Pöttinger range of tedders up front.
No power should be lost in the driveline. The heavy duty HIT-Tech double c.v. joints are similar to those on a tractor's fronthalf-shafts. Each rotor can move freely under full power inevery position. Ultimate ground hugging is guaranteed, evenon slopes and rough ground.
7
Stabilizing shock absorbers
Double-acting shock absorbing struts on both sidesensure the tedder remains centred, even on slopes. The struts stabilise the machine when it is lifted andduring transport on the road. Even at high travellingspeeds the machine is prevented from bouncing.Standard equipment on HIT 690 N/NZ, 800 NZ,810 N/NZ and 910 NZ. As an option for HIT 470 N,540 N and 610 N/NZ (varies from country to country).
Well thought out stabilization Pivoting headstock with heart-shaped pivot pin retainer
Perfect cornering with the tedder following in the tractor's tracks. The shockabsorbing struts provide additional stability with spring-loaded cylinders compensating for turning movement. When lifted the tedder swings into the central position. Even on slopes the ted-der cannot under-run, it follows the tractor faithfully.Pin interlock – to prevent freedom of movement for road transport – just relocatethe locking pin.
Tedders from Pöttinger are
well-known for their short
headstock. The centre of
gravity is located closer to
the tractor, reducing the
power requirement of the
tractor and increasing
driving safety.

 Rigid rotor angle
adjustment
Fine tooth meshing allows the rotor angle tobe adjus ted in sevenstages of one degreeeach – adaptable to different forage types and quantities. (not available on 440 Hand 470 H).
Setting the wheels at an angle causes the tedder torun diagonally so the forage is not flung onto neighbouring fields or crops. This can also be usedto prevent the tedder drifting downhill when workingacross really steep slopes. The wheel can be adjusted to the left or right.
Clean forage is the number
one aim of the harvesting
process. Fewer germs and
lower ash content in the
silage means healthier
animals and higher meat
and milk yield. The optimum
rotor position must be easy
to adjust effectively.
Rotor trackingJockey wheel for
optimum ground tracking
and sward protection
The additional jockeywheel on the headstock isideal for guiding the tinesover the ground. A chain-type top link is used instead of a rigid top link. The jockey wheel ensures that theworking depth is always set correctly. Moreover, this top-of-the-range versionguarantees high-speed working, resulting in higher coverage. No tools are required to adjust the height of the jockey wheel. Wrapping is prevented reliably by an extra guard cover – even in high quantities of crop.
Fenceline tedding
Hydraulic fenceline
adjustment (standard onAZ models) – operatedby single-acting hydraulic cylinder withgas accumulator.
Mechanical fenceline
adjustment (HIT NZmodels) – operated fromthe tractor seat by lan-yard.
