000212. Lamp Shade

(1) Cut out parts A through D. Cut two each of parts A, B and D, and cut D from fiber paper.

*Semi-transparent plastic sheets, thick vellum, and tracing paper should NOT be used, particularly with incandescent light bulbs. Those materials are highly combustible.

(2) Fold A to C along the dotted lines as shown below.

If paper with front and back sides of different colors is used, folds and cut edges may be noticeable. In that case, color the cut edges with the oil-based pen.

(3) Glue D-1 to the back of A, and glue D-2 to the back of B, as shown below.

(5) Fit C into the top of the piece assembled in step (4), and then fold over and glue the tabs of the piece assembled in step (4), as shown below.

*Please make sure to use a battery-operated LED light bulb fixture because incandescent bulbs and a long time use with an electric cable can create a risk of fire. You should also make it have enough space between the LED light and the insides of the project.

(6) Place over the table lamp.
